Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to support residential and commercial electrical projects. This role provides hands-on training under licensed electricians while developing skills in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist licensed electricians with installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems
• Pull, route, and secure wire and conduit (EMT, PVC, etc.)
• Install electrical components including outlets, switches, lighting, and panels
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
• Support rough-in and finish electrical work on job sites
• Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and electrical codes (NEC)

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• State of Michigan Electrical Apprentice Certification
• Electrical installation experience in residential and commercial settings
• Ability to read and work from blueprints and project plans
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Traverse City, MI.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
