Job Description

We’re a group of cafes nestled in the heart of Brooklyn: currently in Prospect Heights, Crown Heights South, and Flatbush. Our cozy cafes offer a warm and inviting atmosphere paired with exceptional coffee and delicious bites. With a focus on community and comfort, we provide a haven for locals and visitors alike to relax, recharge, and connect.

We are currently looking to hire someone with experience in both Food Prep and working on the Line. You will be expected to prepare items from our small breakfast/lunch food menu; this includes salads, sandwiches, and some pastries.

This role is a hybrid Food Prep/ Line Cook position. The Prep Cook schedule is at Ouma Bakery M-F 8am-3pm, however you will also be expected to step in as Line Cook periodically as coverage is needed.

Requirements:

• To be considered for the position, you must have food preparation experience, specifically breakfasts sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, and batch prep.
• Be willing to work in a tight space with an oven, and induction burner.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment while providing hospitable service.
• Be able to take complete daily inventory and restock.
• Must have a Food Handlers Permit from NYC Dept. of Health.
• You have to be available during the day M-F.
• MUST be authorized to work in the U.S.
