Job Description
Our client's Legal Team in Wallingford is looking for a Legal Assistant (often categorized as a Paralegal) to support litigation, compliance, and acquisition activities. This role is central to the company’s M&A-driven growth strategy and requires a candidate who is meticulous with documentation and capable of managing multiple high-priority projects across different jurisdictions.
salary: $25 - $28 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities
- Litigation Support: Maintain comprehensive summaries of active cases, track legal updates, and assist with discovery-related tasks and interrogatory responses.
- Acquisition & M&A Support: Assist in preparing and reviewing closing binders, coordinating post-closing document execution, and tracking post-merger obligations.
- Corporate Governance: Support the filing of regulatory documents and maintain corporate governance updates for global entities.
- Financial Administration: Process executive expense reports and assist with department budget preparation and tracking.
- Event Coordination: Lead the logistics for leadership forums, off-site strategic planning sessions, and large-scale company events.
- Compliance: Update and maintain legal compliance manuals and assist in conducting annual audits.
- Document Management: Oversee electronic filing systems and ensure all legal documentation is organized and easily accessible for the General Counsel.
- Calendar & Travel Management: Proactively manage complex, global calendars and coordinate detailed domestic and international travel itineraries, including visa processing and ground logistics.
