ABOUT THE ROLE

Mayersohn Law Group, P.A. is seeking a highly skilled Family Law Attorney to lead complex, high-value family law matters. This role is designed for an experienced litigator who is strategic, organized, and confident in the courtroom, with the ability to manage cases independently and deliver strong results for clients.

In this position, you will handle sophisticated family law disputes, work closely with experts and support staff, and contribute to a team that values professionalism, clear communication, and sound judgment. RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Litigation & Client Advocacy

  • Serve as lead counsel on divorce, custody, support, post-judgment, dependency, domestic violence, and complex asset matters.
  • Conduct hearings, mediations, negotiations, evidentiary proceedings, and trials.
  • Communicate with clients regarding strategy, options, and case status.
  • Maintain a professional, confident, and client-focused presence in and out of court.

Strategic Case Development

  • Develop and execute customized litigation strategies.
  • Identify risks, evidentiary issues, leverage points, and settlement opportunities early.
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement documents.
  • Apply strong legal analysis, sound judgment, and thoughtful case evaluation.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work closely with paralegals, administrative staff, and experts as needed.
  • Provide direction and oversight while maintaining a respectful and collaborative team environment.
  • Stay organized, manage multiple priorities, and maintain strong follow-through.
  • Track billable time in accordance with firm policies.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly billable hour expectations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Extensive Florida family law experience with a strong litigation background.
  • Significant courtroom presence and trial experience.
  • Active Florida Bar license in good standing.
  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Proven ability to manage cases from start to finish.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Professional, discreet, and trustworthy in client and team interactions.
  • Responsive, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Clear communicator with a calm, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Ability to meet or exceeds monthly billable hour expectations

Preferred

  • Experience with complex financial matters, business valuations, or high-asset divorces.
  • Experience mentoring junior attorneys or support staff.
  • Ability to work in a direct, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ability to anticipate needs, stay ahead of deadlines, and manage sensitive matters with professionalism.
  • Bilingual in Spanish
