Job Title: Prep Cook 
Pay Rate: $20–$22/hour
Schedule: Full-time — Open Availability Required. 8pm - 4:30am.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our bakery team. This role is essential to daily operations, supporting production by preparing ingredients, maintaining organization, and ensuring all baked goods meet our quality standards. Candidates must have open availability, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients for daily production (washing, peeling, chopping, weighing, measuring)
• Assist with basic baking tasks such as mixing batters, portioning doughs, and preparing fillings
• Follow recipes and production schedules accurately and consistently
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas, storage, and equipment
• Label and store ingredients following food safety and FIFO guidelines
• Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries
• Support bakers and kitchen team as needed to ensure smooth service
• Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations

Qualifications:

• Previous kitchen or bakery prep experience preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Basic knife skills and understanding of kitchen equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player
• Flexible schedule with open availability (early mornings, weekends, holidays required)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a bakery or pastry production environment
• Familiarity with scaling recipes and baking techniques
