California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) seeks an Analyst I/II in the Pension Contracts and Prefunding Programs Division (PCPP), Pension Contracts Unit.

The position is primarily responsible for:
  • Creating contracts and contract amendment documents for CalPERS contracting public agencies, or agencies that inquire about participating in CalPERS retirement program.
  • Producing and finalizing appropriate supplementary documents, forms, certifications, and ballots based upon the type of contract or benefit being provided and the statutory and regulatory requirements, under guidance from the Pension Contracts Analysts.
  • Contacting agencies as directed to request additional information or data needed to determine eligibility for participation in the program or to process the request.
Telework Information: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.

Effective July 1, 2025, The California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025). PLP 2025 directs that each employee shall receive a 3 percent reduction in pay in exchange for 5 hours PLP 2025 leave credits, monthly. Working Conditions

  • Travel may be required by automobile and/or airplane. May be asked to travel to attend the annual CalPERS Educational Forum. All travel may be subject to overnight stays.
