Travel Physical Therapy Assistant(PTA) - Outpatient (Days)

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Physical Therapy Assistant(PTA) - Outpatient for a 13-week travel assignment i n Effingham, IL .

Contract Details

• Days 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM 8; Can be flexible and do 4*10's / 40 Hour Guarantee
• Start Date: 7/13/2026
• Contract: 13 weeks
• Location: Effingham, IL
• Hourly Pay: $ 22.00
• Non-taxed Stipend: $721.00
• Weekly Total Pay: $1381.00
• EMR: Cerner
• Non-billable Hours: 16 hours
• Traveler Policy: Applicants within 50 miles of facility are not eligible. Candidates' Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates - 50-mile radius restriction)

Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) perform physical therapy procedures and related tasks that have been selected and delegated only by a supervising physical therapist (PT). The PTA uses their knowledge and skills to help the physical therapist provide selected interventions as described in the patient’s plan of care. The PTA uses their clinical problem solving skills to ensure patient/client safety and comfort, as well as completion of interventions selected to achieve the patient’s desired outcomes and goals. PTA’s demonstrate effective communication and strong interpersonal skills to motivate patients and provide compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adheres to the APTA code of ethics.
• Appropriately carries out treatment as directed by the supervising physical therapist.
• Able to provide a variety of treatment approaches utilizing appropriate manual techniques and available equipment and/ or modalities.
• Appropriately modifies treatment in response to patient progress and keeps the PT informed of changes in status and overall progress.
• Assists other facility staff members as needed to provide care and create a clean, orderly, and effective environment for rehabilitation and physical therapy.
• Documents patient progress according to approved medical documentation and facility documentation procedures to best describe client progress toward established goals.
• Functions independently within the scope of the PTA Practice Act.
• Maintains and consistently demonstrates competency in all areas of assigned client care needs and seeks out additional information, in-service or other educational opportunities to remain competent and current in practice.
• Provides individualized patient and caregiver education

Compensation:

• Weekly Pay (hourly) + Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible)

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 2+ Years of PTA Experience
• Outpatient experience is required
• Must have Active American Heart Association BLS certification
• Must have Active Illinois/IL Physical Therapist Assistant License
• Excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
• Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability

• Drug screen and background check (facility required)
• Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned
